Alright I know I am 10 months out but the weight loss has really stopped and I still have a ways to go...I think it is because I stopped my protein shake. It was making me gag...anyone help me out with a protein shake they are drinking that tastes good!! Thanks

Hi Christine, Here's my favorite protein shake recipe. I buy a few bananas, let them ripen, peel them, cut them each into four pieces, put them all in a freezer bag, and store them in the freezer. Whenever I need a protein fix I put three pieces of frozen banana in a blender with 1 cup of milk. Blend. Add 1-2 scoops of Designer Whey Protein Powder (vanilla and chocolate are available at Trader Joe's or most health food stores) and blend at a lower speed. I can't drink it all at once, but I put the rest in the fridge to finish later. Sometimes I leave it in the blender so I can just give it a spin again. This has helped a lot in getting in the minimum 50 grams of protein. I find the Designer Whey protein powders the best tasting of those I have tried. They are also lower in carbs. Let me know if this works for you. Anne

Hi Christine, Sometimes you just have to "shake things up" a bit and increasing protein, water and exercise is a good start. I love the Permalean Protein Powder. No sugar, 20g Protein in I think it's 4 oz water or skim milk. I like the Vanilla for it's versatility and the chocolate is great too. I know you can get it at RX for Health on Dolfield in Owings Mills and I believe they will ship if that is out of the way for you. Best wishes! Lisa

Christinehi, I use the EAS protein shakes either Chocolate fudge or french vanilla (they're 11 oz.containers and 15 grams protein each and only 90 calories and I just chill them in the fridge - grab one and a straw and go (I drink it on my way to work for breakfast).) I get them at BJ's (case of 12) - but they also have them at Walmart in 4-pks they're around $5.89. good luck, pat

My favorite is the Protein Delite (raspberry yogurt flavor - is my fav but all of them are yum) from www.bariatriceating.com I mix that into my oatmeal in the am still even at 6 months out. I also do the achiev one protein coffee lattes (vanilla nut, hazlenut, mocha, cappucino flavors) If you like Starbucks you have to try it! Has 20 grams of protein and a little caffine boost!
