Pneumonia and Obesity

Urrrgggghhhh...one more reason to hate being obese and feel like no one is helping. After being sick all last week, I finally went to the doctor. I have walking pneumonia which is all fine and good with some good antibiotics and a powerful expectorant. BUT the doctor told me that it will take longer for my lungs to clear than "normal" because they're doing so much work just trying to push my body much less clear themselves out. I spent the entire weekend watching shows about WLS and now I'm more depressed than ever about still waiting for my phone to ring. Don't you love my whining?

Not really. I got an email that said Dr. Gandsas had read my post on the board and they'd be getting to me soon. I'm trying to wait patiently but I'm not too successful. I did contact Union Memorial but they want the fees up front and then you tussle with your insurance and I don't have 10k (or so). What's happening on your end of the world? Any news from your dr?

well actually yes i went with Dr.Li at Sinai and i have already been in to see her. She has even given me my surgery date. I am finishing all my pre-op testing now. I chose dr.li because i knew that it would be a wait trying to get an appointment with dr. gansas besides she works with him and is experienced as well, plus she is 5 months pregnant so she trying to get in as much surgeries in a possible before she goes out. Stay on their backs... girl call and keep calling
