Pouch pain?

I have had pain on and off since surgery 15 months ago on the left side below my rib cage. I've seen lots of posts with pain on the right side. I had my gall bladder removed so that's not it. It is a very sharp pain that lasts for at least 1/2 hour and often many hours. I have an appointment with a GI doc this week. Just wondering if anyone else goes through this and what the problem was.

Hi Susan, I suffer with pains and I mean sharp pains in the very middle of my stomach. It seem to have started last week. It was so bad I had to come home and go straight to bed. I had my surgery in December of this year. I also had them yesterday, but I didn't go to bed this time. Heaven
