Approved!! Looking for support group in Glen Burnie..

Hello to all,I have not posted here in ages. Well this was all started in June of 2004,I went through my required 6 month program with Kaiser, I was denied and then I appealed, and denied again.So I figured it was not ment to be... And out of the blue they call 2 weeks ago and say they re-evaluated their decision and have decided to APPROVE my surgery. Yippie! I was shocked, I even asked if this was a joke, she reasured me it was real and I would be recieving my referal in the mail with in days and sure enough I did. My consult is with Dr.Paul Lin on Oct 3rd. I am excited but nervous. oh I never joined a support group,is there one in Glen Burnie? Does anyone know? Thanks

Hi Donna.. Congratulations on your approval!!! I go to a support group in Pasadena on the 2nd Wed of the month at 7pm and the people there are pre and post-op and it's a wonderful information source. Look on the MD message board at a message posted 9/6/05 entitled 'Pasadena group 9/14/05' and all the info is there and you can e-mail Diane for directions (it's at her house).Hope to see you I think you'll really enjoy it. pat

Hi, I'm waiting to have surgery. I don't know of any support groups in Glen Burnie, but I will be attending my first group this Sunday Sept. 18th at the Border's in Annapolis. If that's not too far meet us at 1pm upstairs in the cafe.
