Hi everybody. My name is Kaitlynn and I am just starting the steps to get the WLS. I am 24 and weigh approx 300lbs. I am going to Dr, Roe's power point seminar today @ 2pm. HIs office said one is held every other week on thursdays. Has anyone ever been to his seminar?? Does Dr. Roe give the seminar?? Any info would be a help.. Thank You..Wish me Luck....

Hi Denise!!) Dont be afraid to ask questions.

It not only helps to question everything but also may make you more comfortable with your decisions the more that you know and find out by researching. The more knowledgable you are prior to surgery the more successful you will be after surgery. At least that is what I have learned from everyone so far and I am hoping it is true.... Also, recognize your reservations and fears..

Vocalize them out loud to yourself and to others. Let others share the fears they had and how they dealt with them. This helped me become very comfortable with my decision to have surgery. It helped me see that I am NOT alone in this journey and that there are others that have felt the same things along the way.
