Congrats Pam!! Did you hit any plateus at all or did you loose pretty consistently? I have another 30lbs to go and I am there with you! So far I've also lost 51 lbs. Seems live I've been hovering at 230 for the last couple week or so. Going to hit the gym every day this week so hopefully that will shake things up. I was inconsistent this past week. Today I did an hour (30 min cardio/30 min weights) and now about to head to the pool to swim a few laps and relax in the sunshine.
Congrats again!! WTG!!
Thanks, Stayce...
Yes, I have had plateau's. Sometimes I go a week...sometimes two weeks without the scale moving...then suddenly the weight loss picks up for a week, maybe two... and the cycle just keeps repeating. It's so frustrating!! I sat at 215 for two weeks. I sat at 201 for a week and a couple of days. It was TORTURE!!
I had open RNY, so I'm not free to go to the gym until September 1st. My exercise has been limited to walking and light swimming. I'm nervous AND excited about being able to work out again. I'm hoping working out will boost the weight loss.
Way to go Pam!!! What a good feeling, huh?? Did you get to the support meeting in Lexington Park last Wednesday? I am going to the next one, do or die! The only thing that might stop me is back to school meetings, softball practice or ??? Keep up the good work and I look forward to meeting you in person.

Pam,
That's awesome. Congrats on the wonderful achievement and continue what you're doing. Do not worry about the plateus they are more hormonal than true plateus. Your body is still trying to fight what's going on, It wants to be homeostatic and can't find the pieces. If you get frustrated that it hasn't moved then it uses stress to keep you there. Believe me when I say if you relax it will move the scale. I keep doing it to myself and as soon as I remind myself the scale moves. Good Luck in the rest of your journey.
