Anyone have experience with Dr. Van Ruden at GBMC?

I have a informational session this month and got a packet of papers to complete. Just wondered.

Yes, her performed my Lap RNY a couple of months ago. He is wonderful and his office staff are the BEST!!!! I recommend him highly. Perhaps I will see you at one of the meetings. Good luck! Hugs, Tracy

Hi Joyce... I have to agree with what Tracy said in her post. He is the absolute best. He is wonderful and you will love him. I couldn't have had a better experience or a more successful weight loss journey. We have a support group meeting on Saturday at 11am if you are interested in coming. Yep, me, too! Love the man!! And his staff - and the staff @ GBMC! I am one week post-op and feeling pretty good! I am also going to attend the support group meeting on the 13th @ 11 am. He's kind of quiet, but OMG, so thorough, and has checked up on me twice since I came home on 8/4. He does have a repressed sense of humor - when I told him the only thing missing from GBMC was the pool bar serving margaritas, he told me they were working on it! Take care, and good luck! Teresa

I had my surgery done with DVR back in March. I found him to be the best surgeon that I talked to and I talked to a few before having my surgery. His bedside manner is wonderful I never felt like just another patient. Not to mention the staff has been wonderful with the after care. They are willing to answer 101 questions that always come up and never make you feel in the way. Just in short DVR is awesome, his staff is great. I love em all! They saved my life.
