Hi! We're headed to Ocean City from 8/27 - 9/3 and am wondering what are the best places to go, best restaurants, etc. We're staying on 84th Street oceanblock. I understand there are shuttle buses that take you everywhere? My hubby and I have been down once before but it was only a day thing. This year we're taking our 4 1/2-year-old daughter and going with another couple and their 4 1/2-year-old son. Any information anyone can offer is appreciated! Hugs, Christine 257 / 154 / 137

Hi Christine, I can't really help with restaurants and stuff, BUT ... just an FYI, Ocean City is one long strip. The main 'drag' is Coastal Highway. The town of OC has buses that run up and down Coastal Highway 24 hours / day. I think the bus fare has gone up but it's like $2 to ride all day, you just keep your 'ticket/slip' and show it to the driver. Hope you have a super time, I haven't spent a summer vacation in OC in years, but it's one of my favorite places to go in the spring, winter and fall. Hugs, Mo

Christine, I am so envious. As a family (my mother, father, siblings and all), we head to OC every summer. Have been doing so for the past 8 years. We have a blast. Stay up at 146th and frequent restaurants and fun shops around that area. Everywhere you look, you'll have somewhere to shop or eat at. Best of luck and have a blast. TraciL

We love OC and my parents have a time-share on 142 street - we go at least twice a year - - - and HAVE to get Thrashers French Fries (yes, even after gastric bypass) It's located at the inlet (before 1st street) - the inlet also has a place called Trimpers Rides - tons of rides for the little ones... and lots of games and stores to buy all kinds of "trash and trinkets". There's also a place around 33rd street (I think) called Jolly Rodgers - lots of rides for the kids there too. Have a wonderful time! Robin

Hi Christine! I live 15 minutes from Ocean City. Thrashers fries you have to get some while there. If you want to have a good dinner BJs on the Bay is a good place to eat. Good food. Hope you have a good trip. Lisa H.
