Baltimore Walk From Obesity!!

Hi Diana, So, this Walk From Obesity is all over the place on 9-24-05? I have heard that there is one in Silver Spring and now one in Baltimore? Or are we walking from Silver Spring to Baltimore? lol I am confused. In reality I stay confused most of the time. lol Thanks Lizzi

Lizzie, Last year, there was only one location for the Baltimore-Washington area. This year, the Washington, DC area has a walk being organized, in addition to the Baltimore walk. Even with the rescheduled walk last year in November (oh, it was COLD!!!), the Baltimore group did a fabulous job in hosting the walk, and showed a lot of great spirit. However, since I'm in North Bethesda/Rockville (Montgomery County), I'll be signing up for and supporting the DC-area walk. Hopefully, with the expanded outreach in the entire area, there will be a great turn out for both locations. Leesa

Diana I hate to burst your bubble but GBMC and Dr Von Rubin are not sponsering the wak this year. I know the Walk from obesity site list them as the sponsers but if you e-mail them they willlet you know they areot going to do it this year they did do t last year. Karen Duncan

I received an email about 3 weeks ago from the coordinator at GBMC stating that GBMC will not be sponsoring this event due to a conflict in schedules. Sorry! Diane
