Got some good advice from my primary care today

First, someone on OH recommended Dr. Daphna Henkin to me as a primary car dr so I switched. I am so glad I did. Anyone who lives in Montgomery County, Maryland who needs a dr I recommend her. I have felt so un-coordinated and off balance lately. When I told Dr. Harrington (my surgeon) he acted like I was speaking Greek and he had never heard of such an effect from the surgery. While I know other WLS patients have had the same experience. But today Dr. Henkin told me it is because with the big weight loss my center of gravity has changed. In time it will change back and my body will figure it out. Also, the same thing happens when people get pregant. Also, of course I have had the hair loss problem (but that is getting better) but my scalp has been tender and has had a few bumps on it that are tender. Dr. Henkin said it means my scalp is making new hair folicals, which is a good thing. But, she said to use head and sholders shampoo and to leave it on for a min or two and it will make my scalp feel better and be less sensitive.

Thank you for posting that, lately I feel like I've been so much more clutzy than I was before and when I am doing step like I have 2 left feet going in opposite directions and that could explain why I am feeling this way. I knew it happened during pregnancy but never thought about it happening after WLS. Thanks for the info. Denise
