Only 10 lapbands done at St Agnes.....

I posted last week about trying to decide between st agnes and JH Baview. I went to the seminar offered at St A and it was well done etc. But it looks like St Agnes has only been doing lap band for about 4 mos and has only done 10 total so far..... That worries me a little... I am thinking I should stick to Schweitzer.... Any thoughts .....

Have you tried University of Maryland and Dr. Mark Kligman?

Shady Grove in Rockville does these on a regular basis. Dr. Greene operates there and has done a lot of there.

I recommend Dr. Von Rueden at GBMC. He and his staff are amazing! Good luck!

Arnie, I answered your earlier post too, but i love Schweitzer. He's done over 100 himself, with a really good non-complication rate. I had my second fill ieth him yesterday, and I find him to be so reasonable and he really listens to what I have to say aoubt when i need a fill, etc. Remember, even though he is out of network for BCBS, you will have only a 20% copay of his fee, not the whole thing. Please....whoever you go to, experience and track record are key. Barbara

Hi - I went to Dr. Kligman's seminar last night at North Arundel with a family memeber who is considering a lapband procedure. Dr. Kligman said at his seminar, that he doesn't do the lapband? Jennifer

I am planning on having Lap Band with Dr S. I think that he is a good choice from all that I have read. Don't know a thing about St Agnes. I have no idea of that I will have to pay but it will worth it. Barbara

The St. Agnes lapband program is new but these doctors have done over 800 RNY surgeries with tremendous results. Don't discount them because they just added doing the lapband. They are both well trained physicians and were excellent surgeons before, during and after the surgical process. Choose your physician for your self and be happy with the choice. I just don't want the wrong idea given about their qualifications to provide a successful surgery. Good luck in your process. Denise
