other than Dr. Barry Greene? He does not accept Aetna for insurance. Thanks

I live in Germantown but I am traveling to Balto to get my surgery done with Dr.Kligman. He's great! His site has all his contact info: http://www.umm.edu/weightloss/seminar.html And yes he takes Aetna. He only performs the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass. He does not do lap band or BPD/DS. Melanie

Hi, I had my surgery in Baltimore with Dr. William Roe on Cromwell Bridge Road in Towson. He has a great staff. They are very good with insurances. Doc is also a great surgeon.

I used Dr. A. Vanguri whose office is on BelAir Rd. near Joppa. He operates at St. Joseph's and Franklin Square. I was at St. Joe recently (June 20). So far I have been very pleased - pain not too bad, no dumping and lots of support. Cheryl

Dr. Gary Harrington. His number is (301) 589-8737. His office is in SIlver Spring. He is great! He is also less stringent than Dr. Barry Greene.

Hi Chad. I've never seen anybody else on here from Huntingtown. Just wanted to say hello. My surgeon is in Northern Virginia. Actually, he just left the practice and another doctor is taking over his patients. I've heard good things about him though. I'll meet him next month. Let me know if you want more information or just want to talk to a fellow Huntingtown person. Melissa

If you will make the trip to Salisbury, Delmarva Bariatric Center is excellent. Dr Michael Sofronski or Dr Scott Bovard at 410.341.6180. http://www.delmarvabariatric.com/index.cfm Good luck !!!

Wow, when did that happen? I think Dr. Greene used to accept Aetna, but I just checked DocFind and sure enough, he's not listed anymore. Strange. I'm an Aetna customer, and went with Dr. Harrington who operates at Washington Adventist (Takoma Park) and Holy Cross (Silver Spring). I wholeheartedly recommend him! Have you started the 6-month diet or 3-month multidisciplinary regimen to fulfill Aetna's requirements?

Hello! My surgeon was Dr. Buras. He work's with Dr. Afram. I too have Aetna for insurance and they covered surgery with him. He is terrific. Really kind, patient, and very timely. Never had to wait for an appointment. He was usually ready early. I was thrilled to have him as my surgeon. If you want more info. let me know. Good luck!!!
