MAMSI INSURANCE

My BMI 13 43.7 and I have sleep apnea and that is it as far as I know

I have MAMSI insurance and it finally did cover for my surgery. However, since I picked a doctor that was out of network, I did have to pay 20% of his fee along with his program fee. MAMSI would not accept my paperwor****il I had 6 months supervised diet. They claim that the 6 months supervised diet had to be consecutive, and that I had to weigh in at my doctors office. Basically, I went once a month to my doctor, got weighed, discussed what I was eating, and I was out the door. I was in the office for about 15 minutes once a month. The bad thing about that was I had to pay a co-pay everytime I went there. MAMSI has gotten really strict with paying for the surgery, and some of the medicine. Good luck, I found that I eventually had to call them everyday and write down the time I called and who I spoke with. On the day they called to tell me I had been approved the woman said she wanted me to be the first to know since I had called over 40 times. LOL.....all I know is my pestering finally paid off. Holley
