This surgery had better work ...
Hi all, I am 2wks post op and down 20lbs, it seems like the scale is stuck, I want it to move everyday .. my goal is to be down 30-35lbs by June 4th (1 month post-op). I am also struggling with getting in enough water and protein.
Does anybody have a schedule or technique for getting down enough water and protein? pls advise
Am I being impatient??? I want to lose this weight ASAP.
This surgery had better WORK!!!!
Impatient member,
Bola.
I keep liquid with me at all times and take a couple sips every 10 -15 minutes. When I say sips I mean 1 teaspoon to tablespoon. I even used that at first so I could get over the gulping thing I use to do prior to surgery.
As far as the weight goes...It probably took you years to put on that weight and if you have been on diets before you know how long it takes to drop 20lbs.. sometimes months.. YOU DID IT IN TWO WEEKS!!
Yes.. BE PATIENT. The surgery works.
My suggestion would be stop weighing yourself daily. Put the scale in the closet. Your body may not loose weight the same way from day to day. Weight fluctuates. You don't want to trade one obsession - food .. for another.. the scale!! 20lbs in two weeks is a huge drop. I'm at a month and down 25lbs. Just follow the pouch rules, get in your brisk walks daily, get your protein in, and get your fluid in, make the behavioral changes so that you get long lasting results.
The further you get out the easier it is to get in more. Do the best you can now. Remember .. you are just 2 weeks post op!
Bola...
20 pounds in two weeks is awesome. Go pick up something that weighs 20 pounds....
And, throw that scale away!!!! I a scale ***** and it is defeating....
Follow your program's rules (typically protein, water, exercise) and you can't not lose weight.
My gym measured me and remeasured at 6months. And, the inches lost was like 53". So, measure yourself. I'm sorry I didn't and remeasure every couple of months. That is a huge uplift when the scale slows... because those inches add up and I think make the difference in how you look.
Be patient!
Best wishes
