Bariatric familiar doctors in Montgomery County

I am almost 10 years post op and I have had a few things occur that some doctors have no clue ( and I found the answer after a few minutes by researching medical sites).  I am looking for a doctor who is familiar with Gastric Bypass and issues that can arise afterwards.  Right now I am looking for an internal medicine practitioner and an endocrinologist.  Thank you.

If you're looking for a PCP, I like my internist a lot: Dr Piyush Patel. He's got 2 offices, one in Germantown and another in Silver Spring. Not a specialist in WLS, just a really good MD who listens!

I am just about 10 years out and have started having issues as well. I have been working with a really "brilliant" GI at Washington Hospital Center, but his bedside manner is HORRIBLE! If it weren't for his expertise I would not stay, BUT if you seeking answers (specifically vitamins, blood levels of vitamins, bacteria) he is your guy. His name is Dr. Koch. I also was an endorinologist at WHC who was great too, Jason Wexler. Hope that helps a little!

So funny to hear you say that. Those were my exact sentiments of Dr. Koch. He is not the friendliest person but he appers to be a good Dr..
