I may be moving to Maryland for a new job soon, and wouuld like some recommendations for aftercare docs.  I am almost 4 years out (2/25), and I would like some suggestions for a new bariatric friendly PCP, preferably someone who is familiar with the needs of a Duodenal Switch patient.

Hi there -- and welcome to MD -- I am in Baltimore, so the docs I'm noting are here.  Since we have so many academic medical centers -- I'd suggest you look first at Johns Hopkins and University of Maryland Medical System if you are near Baltimore.  I don't know any DS patients, so I can't speak from experience.   Since there is such a large pool of surgical talent, you may also find good docs at GBMC (Towson) and Sinai (NW Baltimore).  All four of the hospitals I've mentioned are BCBS Centers of Excellence for Bariatric Surgery, as well.

Best of luck in your search!
