Want to have revision surgey is wonder if anyone had uhc?

Hi everyone my name is kristie I had my lap band done in may 2006 not much success! I have a appointment with dr averbach on friday and I was wondering if anyone had united and how your odeal was with them and any advise . I did not have them with my lapband so I just wondering before I start this new journy in my life! I want to get my lapband taken off and get the sleeve or ryn not sure yet untill I talk to draverbach

My appointment went well ! I am going from lap band to sleeve , I had my band empty on thurday and my upper gi is on sept 26 them meet with dietian and psy then I play the pray pray pray and wait for approval ! I hope all works out ! Where are you from in maryland? What wls did you have ?

Lol....that's the city I'm from in MD...Brandywine. Its in Southern MD. 
So you decided to go with the sleeve, huh? Great. I havent had my procedure done yet, but I'm having RNY in a few months. I have my upper GI on the 10th.

Sorry toni .. I am getting to that point I my life where I need glasses but I am denying it lol ! I saw brandywhine and went with it ! I was going to go for the ryn but my doctor said it would be easier with the lapband to go staight to the sleeve . But I wish you all the luck and hopefully all goes well and we can share our journey together on here ! Best of luck toni ! Keep me posted on you gi this is my first and I am full of nerves !

 i got approved in a week . dr singh is my doctor i am having a revision on the 24th this month

What insurance company did you have luv myself? This is the scariest part with the whole thing to me is not getting approved ! What kinda revision are you having done ? I am trying laoband to sleeve . I meet dr sigh when I had to do my first step meeting but he was booked when I had my lapband so I went with averbach and I have been happy ! I am glad you are local we can helpful keep a eye on each other weight loss journy threw here !

I have uhc. I had gastric four years ago. I lost 110 lbs and gained 65 back due to poor eating choices and not exercising. I having gastric bypass again monday. UHC gave me a second choice in this and i refuse to mess it up. I wish you all the luck.

I am sure you will do amazing this time around ! You will know your mistakes better this time around . I am in the same boat as you alot of mine was poor choices ! Alot of it ! But I swear to god I would give it my 150 % if he helps me out one more time with this I have the drive more so then before . plus I also have three little babies that need me healthy ( I didnt have that when I had my first wls ) I am hoping uhc gives me thay chance ! I have the epo plan, everything they need and want , I work for the state of maryland they did not pay for my lap band , my bmi has not went below 42 in five years so I think I am good all thats left is to pray !
