Hey group! So I posted this as a reply on another post but wanted to make it a topic as well. Hope you all don't mind. :-)

So I live in Md and I have Blue Cross Blue Shield with my employer that has way over 50 employees and WLS is NOT covered in our plan at all.

The plan does not cover WSL or anything related to losing weight or nutrition. No diet pills( my doc just put me on Phentermine and I'm paying for it myself), no nutrition classes etc.

How can I get WLS?

I talked to my doc and she said she would be shocked if my insurance didn't cover WLS before most employers see that it saves them money in the end. Well surprise surprise. Somebody plz help me  :-/

Thank you!

Insurance can really suck.  The only thing I can think of is keep on the insurance company.  Maybe send them documentation you can get from your doctor's office and send it in yourself.  I know a lot of people have problems with their insurance not wanting to cover any kind of weight loss help.  Just keep pushing.  I think there is a forum on here though that deals with insurance.  Check them out and see what they have to say.  Good luck and I hope all goes well for you.
