It was definitely an interesting ride.  BP way up, then way down and there was a time or two it was almost non-existent.

But, I am a happy camper (as happy as one can be 3 days post op).

It will be over before you know it.

A couple of things I learned - being in the new wing of the hospital (it opened on Monday, I had surgery on Tuesday), thing don't always run smooth.  Take you own pillow and don't wait for them to find you one.

The pain pump - this will become your friend.  I used it Tuesday night and Wednesday morning  religiously.  Even if I wasn't in that much discomfort, I tried to stay one step ahead of the pain.  Since then, only one oral dose Wednesday (I tried to walk the entire floor 3 times and wore myself out).

Take chap stick or something like it.  It's amazing how dry your lips become.

Don't worry about taking your own clothes to wear.  Ruin the hospitals.
