Did anyone have this Doctor?  Or have their surgery at this Hospital?  I'm looking at surgery in April.  Hoping to talk to someone whom has...

Thanks!

I had surgery at Johns Hopkins Bayview last month, though it was with Dr. Anne Lidor. I can't say enough good things about her and the JH experience, absolutely no complications and the nursing staff was top-notch in their sensitivity and care.

Thanks! The band has required more discipline than I thought at this stage, but once I gave myself a swift kick in the rear to stick with the program, I've been right on track

You doing the band or bypass? My experience with JH was they do more bypasses, though they do plenty of bands, too. But based on conversations with the staff, nutritionists, etc. they seemed to see a lot more bypass patients on a weekly basis.

I'm doing the RNY bypass.  I at first was going to get the band, but then decided bypass would be better for me.  Good luck on your journey!

Thanks again!

I did not have that surgeon, my hubby and I used Dr. Steele from that practice. I have nothing bad to say about Dr. Steele or the hospital. We both had great care and would recommend Johns Hopkins to anyone looking at this surgery

I had the Vertical Sleeve done by Dr. Schweitzer at Johns Hopkins last week.  I agree with the other poster.  The hospital experience was excellent.  No complications and the nurses and doctors took GREAT care of me.  They even called me 2 or 3 times after I left the hospital to check on me.
