Anyone interested in forming a WLS-themed book club?

I took my daughter to Barnes & Noble the other day to spend a gift card and came across a book I’ve been wanting to take a look at called “Women, Food and God" (click the link for a description).

Thumbing through it, this book seemed to SPEAK to me and anyone else who has struggled with food. So much so that I am going to trudge to the library and pay my damn overdue fines to get it!

Is anyone interested in an impromptu book club? I like to discuss books after I read them and I know folks here would understand my thoughts better than anyone.

If you’re game let me know and I’ll pm you for your e-mail address so we can decide how long to take to read it and when/where to get together to discuss!

I hope some folks will accept my invitation!

A fair enough question! I usually read before I go to bed. Since I ditched home internet I have more time on my hands. I also have a tendency to read and walk. My friends always ask me how I can do that in the city and not get killed. I grew up in the neighborhood where I work so my feet know every dip, pothole and curb. I don’t need to look to see where I’m going, so I read!

I'd be interested as long as I can download it on my ipad...it's just easier that way for me.  I can devote some time but not all the time to this...I just re-enrolled in college and am starting classes soon so I'll be pretty busy with that plus work.

I don't want this to be anything rigid. Just a meet-up with other people who understand to discuss the book, wherever you are in it!

Thanks for asking. My acupuncturist told me about that book. I got it from the library & forgot it was in the car & had to return it.  Now there is a waiting list.  LOL ! Your idea sounds great ! Let me know please !

I got it at the library and am a good ways into it already. It's like she's holding a mirror to my face and won't move it. Quite disturbing.
