Can you recommend a restaurant by the harbor?
DH and I are taking (dropping off) DD at a concert tomorrow night (one of her bday presents). The concert is at some place called Sonar near the harbor.
DH and I figured we'd make a date night out of it and want to go have dinner. (Show starts at 530) Ive checked the harbor website and not overly impressed with the options.
Since many of my Marlyand friends are from 'up north' can you recommend somplace that will both be WLS friendly and DH friendly? oh...and not too hard to find for us directionally challenged folks!
THANKS

Hi Mar!!!!!
You'll be just minutes away from Little Italy, and while that doesn't exactly sound WLS, you know that any restaurant can be, it's just all about choices.
My fave in Little Italy is Germano's Trattoria, and I Googled directions for you from Sonar to Germano's - looks like it'll take about 10 minutes, tops.

There are actually a LOT of restaurants in Little Italy, but many of them are simply trading on their name now. I've found the service and food at Germano's to be consistent.
Afterward, you can walk (ask your server) right around the corner to Vaccaro's Italian Pastry Shop for a coffee (they have s/f syrups), and they also do an incredible s/f Italian Iced Tea - fresh brewed iced tea poured over s/f lemon Italian ice.
Hope this at least gives you some ideas! I also noticed that there's a Hooters nearby - that would make DH happy, I guess!! LOL
Have fun!!
Hugs,
Tia

There is a place in Littly Italy that is not touristy at all and it is fabulous. Amicci's www.amiccis.com, they have a garlic shrimp bread bowl that is to die for. Of course you will have to share and most likely only eat a small amount but it is soooooooooo worth it. It is on S. High Street and not far from the Harbor at all. I recommend big time
