Gaining weight before surgery

I am scheduled to have Gastric Bypass on November 16th.  So in the meantime i have been enjoying my food and all the Blizzzard baby showers food.  I havve put on about 17lbs since March when i first went and saw Doc Sweitzer has anyone else had this kind of issue and what is your advice to me??  I go see him tomorrow and actually i am pretty nervous about the weight gain!!

 I did the same thing...I just had a sleeve done by same doc..I also put on weight in the 6 months prior...he never mentioned it and it was no big deal...I am now down 21 pounds in about 10 days...I have no regrets over any of my last suppers!! LOL...but I was scared to death he was going to XL my operation because i was too fat!

They have no pre-op diet to speak of so I guess they arent too worried!

My gain was also almost exactly 17 lbs since march...

It was 7 months from our consultation and my surgery.  I gained a few pounds and when I asked him he stated it would be better if I lost some of the weight but he never made it mandatory.  I lost 3 lbs.  There does not seem to be much that rattles Dr. Schweitzer.

Yes I have gained about 12 pounds, I have been eating everything , my liquid diet starts tomorrow so this weekend I have reaally been getting everything I want to eat in. On my liquid diet paperwork it staes most patients go thru this and that is why they require the liver shrinking 2 week liquid diet.

Well i went and saw Dr. Scwitzer today and i had gained 9lbs since May(i ate Chic a filet on the way there) He was not bothered at all he told more all more of a reason to get the surgery.  He is great i love him!!  Good Luck to everyone i can't wait i feel like a lil kid waitin on Christmas:))))
