Hello fellow Marylanders. I am getting ready to start researching plastic surgery stuff and thought I'd start local to see if anyone has used a plastic surgeon they were particularly pleased with in MD, DC or VA.

Thanks so much!!

Denise

Yes, my surgeon of choice is Larry H.Lickstein, M.D.  He was referred to me (along with a few others) by my bariatric surgeon.  Dr. Lickstein is fantastic in every way.  You can read all  of his credentials on the website of Cosmedic Surgery Center of Maryland, www.cscmd.com and see before and afters of his work.  He's not the cheapest, but when it comes to your body, scars, and having someone who knows what they are doing after massive weight loss, he's it!

It's not how fast you go, but that you're moving in the right direction!

Im no where near ready, but when I am...Im most likely going to choose Dr. Michael Chiaramonte. Highly recommended by a dear family friend. He is located in the new National Harbor. Good luck to you!!

A friend of mine told me she had to pay somewhere between 90 and 200 for her consults!! Is that true? Man that's steep if so. I keep hearing about this Dr in Texas that is so amazing. Not sure I could bring myself to travel for it though--seems hard enough without travelling!!

As I said, I still have a bit before I want to consider doing it, but I'm gearing up now and really want to start preparing my body for it with even better nutrition and exercise.

Good luck!

The places I've looked into have free consults. Not sure where she is going, what area of the country. some areas might have more demand so can charge. I would be surprised if you would have to pay for many of them. good luck yourself!

My two cents... I had bilateral mastectomies with reconstruction and there are two plastic surgeons who I highly recommend for any and everything.  I could not have made it through those surgeries without them and when I am done losing weight and stable one of them will be doing my tummy tuck and arm surgery :)
