Those old feeling are coming back

I am 7 weeks out and starting to introduce new foods into my diet. Has anyone experienced their old sensations coming back. Lately, I began to feel like my old self again and get the usual nightly cravings for chips or other snacks.

Is this normal?

everyone is different, yet we all go through that sort of thing during our journey. it is more than likely in your mind, and you will continue to fight that feeling for the rest of your life. dont give in.

stay on your doctor's advised plan and you will be ok.

Brian is right we all go through it differently.  I started feeling like that like 5 months post op.  But the best thing to do is drink a protein drink to help you feel full. Buy sugar free popsicles they were my life saver.  Kept me from snacking.

Wishing you all the best.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Cira-

I was beginning to worry since I am not that far out. Somedays I feel like my old self , it's frightning.

Thanks for the recommendations.

yea unfortunately head hunger stays. for some people they have no appetite but alot of people still have a good ole appetite going and have to be very conscious about their choices. try not to beat yourself up about and stay positive. over time it will get easier, especially when you start to see results. and if u really need to eat something, come up w/ something healthy to replace what you used to eat. and wait til you've had more time to heal as well.

Ah head hunger - what a pia.  Stay the Course - I find that if I distract myself I do better.  Sometimes we had things we did that were tied to eating - for me it's sitting on the couch watching television.  I can get a mean case of head hunger then.  When it comes about, I realize if I get up and do something the head hunger subsides.  If you can find your trigger and work around it, it might be helpful.

I never get hungry sometimes I have to remember to eat, but for the most part I am craving hot & spicy food more so now then before surgery. Of course i love hot sauces the most and it seems to help my tummy settle to.

Wow.

You can tolerate spicy foods!

Studies suggests that spicy foods curve  appetites. I wonder whether that applies to bariatric patients.

I am too afraid to try spicy food yet, but I can tolerate Taco Bell mild sauce. HMMM maybe I'll try the spicier ones.

I am such a follower.
