I went through removal in January. It wasn't as bad as the insertion of it. I was eating mushies that night. Stomach still hurts some but make sure the doctor puts in his notes that the band failed you. I had been approved for removal/revision to the sleeve but I had to wait until July to get my sleeve because of scar tissue. I hated the band from the start because it wasn't the surgery I wanted, I wanted the sleeve but at that time my insurance wasn't approving it so I went through with the band anyway. I love my sleeve now that I have it and even that was easier than the band surgery. I am a little over 3 weeks out and i have lost 24 Lbs. since my sleeve surgery. I hope you to get the surgery you want. I highly recommend the sleeve because nothing is rerouted so there is no malabsorbtion problems. My band port rejected and actually started coming out of my body (See my Pics).
