First Consultation at Dr.Kligman's Office & a Question about insurance?

Hello To all!

I am just started my journey and I just wanted to ask a few questions.

I attended Dr. Kligman's seminar on the 4th and have an appt next month, i am just wondering what happens at the first consultation?

Has anyone used EHP insurance for the gastric bypass and how were they to deal with?

Unsure about EHP....but I can tell you that during your first appt you will see Dr. K and have a mini physical and go over your paperwork.  Then you will meet w/ a nutritionist....so this counts as month 1 on your 6 month countdown.

We both share a the same surgery day, I had my surgery the same day as you with Dr Kligman.

Hello Girasol-

Additionally, at the first appointment Dr Kligman will give you a list of  pre-op work that you have to get done. Depending on your medical history the list will include the 6 month supervised weight loss management which is performed in house by their nutritionist. You may be asked to take a sleep study , psych-evaluation, stress test/ consult by cardiologist and he may require to to see several other specialist. Dr Kligman is very thorough and gifted surgeon, I account this to my speedy recovery.
