Wow, looks like so many people are having an AWFUL 2010...myself included. It will take a miracle if I make it thru with still owning a home and having a marraige...not to mention any shred of sanity. Whats keeping me straight now is surgery. I can and AM putting all of myself and energy into it. Ugh...not even ready to share yet.

Tia, Im so sorry about your dad. I really understand how hard it is. Im so glad you are still keeping yourself together AND manage a relationship at the same time. Thats rough...but Im so happy for you!! That is awesome.

Thanks, Mar!  I'm excited about your upcoming surgery and hope you have an uneventful recovery.  I know that's been stressing you out for quite a while, so maybe once it's over, thinks will settle down a bit.

I'm sorry you're experiencing stressors in your personal life, too - that just exacerbates everything else.  I know it's hard keeping yourself together, but like you said, just focus on your surgery for right now.

Tia, I'm really sorry about your Dad. My mom is also going through dialysis as well. Its so hard to watch a parent hurting!!! I'll keep you and your dad in my prayers. However, congrats on finding that southern man!!!! I'm soooo happy for you!!!! Does he have a brother? lol . . . . . .Laura, that's wonderful that you've lost 58lbs, you go girl!!!! Disney World is going to be so much fun and even better with the weight lost!!! Congrats on the engagement!!!!! . . . . .Karen, I'm really sorry to hear about your troubles with the law! I agree with Mary. . . .2010 hasn't been a great year for me either!!!!  I've been trying to get over my ex-boyfriend. Let me tell you this man, rocked my world. . . .and I don't mean sexually!!!! lol We were together for over a year and 6 months. . . .during the last month of our relationship he called me and said that he loved me and thought it was time for get really serious and get married. I was glad he said it and I was looking forward to become engaged. Well, two weeks later he called and said: he needed a break!!!! A Break?!? I couldn't believe it. I was devastated.  Let me tell you, what's done in the dark always comes to light. To make a long story short, he completed broke it off with me and I found out through facebook that he was in a relationship with this new chick!!! To top it off, we go to the same church and be brought her there!!! Ugh!!! I was so crushed and hurt. I've gotten over the hurt, but I'm so ready for someone new to come into my life. I have a five year old daughter that I absolutely love. I'm ready to lose this weight and walk with my head held high with a sexy pair of C.F.M. shoes (Come F**k Me Shoes) lol  Anyway, girls we're going to make this happen no matter what comes our way!!!! I'm glad I've found this website and I'm able to connect with a great group of people!! Take Care!!!

Yep, my southern boy is a wonderful gift in my life!!!  The best thing is - we were friends first, with NO thoughts of anything more - and we met on OH!!!!! 

I am SO sorry about your relationship, but I guess it's better that you found out he was a jerk BEFORE you were any more committed to him.  That just sucks that he couldn't be honest with you.  You WILL find a man who is deserving of you - when the time is right.  I'd pretty much given up all hope, after kissing MANY toads - and then my prince shows up!

For right now, focus on you and your daughter - the rest will fall into place.  You'll likely learn things about yourself that you never knew as the weight comes off - embrace all that's Melissa!

Tia is right.  Work on 'you' right now and that beautiful child.  As someone just advised me - learn to date yourself.  If you can do that, then the relationship stuff is easy.  Yep, just wait...get the weight off, put on those JFM shoes and strutt your stuff.  Knock 'em dead. Confidence is half the battle.  We'll all show 'em.  Watch out 2011.  It's our year, I'm telling you.  haha.
