I have a concern and question about meds after surgery.

I currently take zoloft (150 mg daily)for depression and anxety and know I won't be able to swallow pills for a while.  I have checked with my pharmacist n dr they say that it does not come in liquid form.  I am afraid that on top of adjusting to the new "inards" lol that I will have a major "melt down" being off the zoloft.   I know that before I was on it all I did was set around and cry feel very depressed.  I want every thing to go really well after the surgery.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Talk to your Dr -.  You should probably be fine.  As I recall, Zoloft are not really big.  Last resort, can they be crushed? Mix into a paste with yogurt or something?  Hey, just a suggestion. Good luck.

I was told to meet with my primary to find chewable or crushable replacement meds.  I'm on Pristiq and Wellbutrin for depression and Avalide for high blood pressure.

you might also be able to cut the pill with a pill cutter - that's what i had to do with one of mine

I have taken my Zoloft in pill form since the beginning.  Not a problem at all!
