Hey, sweetie!!!  I SWEAR we haven't forgotten you - we haven't gotten together in a while, but when we do, I'll come pick you up!!!

Dad's having a procedure today at Franklin Square to help his dialysis go smoother, so once we get him back on track, I'll be available more.

I'd LOVE to say happy surgiversary, but I know what hell you've been through.  We're going to talk to you about that, too - you need to talk to an attorney, for real!!!!

Hang in there and I'll be in touch as soon as I can!  Hugs to you and Pooh.

Love you,

Tia

I'm with Tia - it's tough to call it a happy surgiversary, so um.....happy survival maybe?

Would love to see you again too!

Still working hard at JCPenneys when I'm not working during the day, but I could give you a heads up on times off so we can get together, or I'll request off on a pre-scheduled get together so I can give you a squeeze!  ((((HUGS))))

I'm with Tia too you really need to talk to a good attorney because that quack needs to be stopped. That was pure hell you went through and it shouldn't go unspoken because he could do that to someone else. That was just pure stupidity on his part or he was in a hurry.
Oh and Happy survival.

Helen,,

I am so sorry for what you went through,,, looks like my Endo was right.  Please,, this is a MAJOR surgery,, but I think Dr Vanguri was more of an issue than the surgery itself. When I talked to my Endo about your experiences  he was not surprised. He had told me a year ago that Dr V had a large amount of infection complications, and that is why he would NOT suport my surgery through Dr V.

I am glad that I was able to log on to my sister's laptop. I usually post from work, but am home recovering. I wish I knew more about your problems over the past year with Dr V.  I had a RNY back in 98 with Dr. V and got through it with virutally no problems whatsoever.  I just recenly had a revision (7/26/10) due to some weight gain and stomach issues.  It was supposed to be revised to DS, but during the surgery he found my pyloric valve had hardened.  He did the bpd.  I had asked about that since that procedure was also supposed to be part of the original procedure back in 98.  I had asked him and he said the one in 98 was only a partial.  I certainly hope that I am understanding the right information from him.  I know that he doesn't have a nutrionist or dietician working with him.  Franklin Square now has another physician who is developing a center at the hospital.  Their nutritional group came in to talk with me after surger and gave me some information.  It is very different from the post-surgical diet info I received from Dr. V.  I'm very nervous about this now.  Would it be too much trouble to maybe give me a little synopsis of what happened with Dr. V?  I am due to get my staples and drain out tomorrow at 2:30 and was just trying to think of any questions that I should ask.  Thank, Helen for any advice and I am so sorry for what you had to go through the past year.  It sounds as if you have had one heck of a year!  I'm looking forward to hearing from you or anyone else who can give me advice.

Hi Helen,

I am so glad to see your post!  Happy 1st year surgiversary,  I am sorry you had a rough go at it.  But I am so thankful to God you are doing good now.

Wishing you all the best.
