Mitizi hip surgery
Linda, thanks for the update. I am glad all went well for her. I wish her a quick and uncomplicated surgery. Julie

Thanks everyone!! And special thanks to Linda for being my Angel and posting my progress!
I had some trouble in the hospital with weakness and my blood pressure being too low, so they pumped me with 5 (or6 ?) bags of Saline and two (bullets?) over three days. Once the BP stablized at normal I was released Thurs. 7/29 to a Rehab Center for daily Physical Therapy (PT). According to the Rehab's digital scale, I gained 16 lbs in a week!!! (Based on my home digitial and theirs... granted there may be some descrepancy) Needless to say, I wasn't happy! The nurses assured me it was fluid retention from all the saline and I'd be fine in another week or so.
Lab work came back Sunday that I was low in Potassium (Note, the hosp did not give me my multivitamins at first). After massive doses (4 tabs 3x a day) Monday it was back to normal but now my Iron levels were low. Even so, they agreed to release me home with home care PT and a prescription for Ferrous Sulfate (Iron). YAY!!!
Thank goodness I'm home again, recouperating once again from another major surgery. Now at home I can get my nutritional requirements back on track and I checked my weight this morning... back to 198!! WHOO HOO!!
