Excited, Nervous, and Scared!

I am right behind you Melissa!  I have my surgery next Monday, so please be sure to let us know how you are doing and know that we are all saying prayers for you. I had the last minute discussion with my family yesterday and told them that I am taking my life back and ready to get this show on the road!

It's a scary thing and it's natural to be feeling this way.  You are in good hands.  You need to do what you feel is right for you, not what your family thinks is best for you. That's why I didn't tell my extended family till the night before I went into the hospital ( I don't know how I kept it from them).  Only my 20 year old daughter knew.  Wait till they see how active you become.  Congratulations...we'll be waiting for you...Karen

Whenever I would get nervous, I would think of  the brave folks that went overseas to get their surgery.  And I would imagine how much strength that it would take to muster up the courage to have the procedure done in a foriegn country far away from home.
