New Md law-Small businesses have to add bariatrics

I am going for a revision conversion surgery and was advised that Maryland passed the law that small buinesses have to add this to their roster. Has anyone else herad this? I have bc/bs and know in 91 large businesses added it but am concerned that maybe I am misunderstanding. This is the only way I can pay since I was self pay for lap band but need to take it out and convert it...any info
I called and asked insurance co and they said yes but they talked me in circles so I am not really sure

Check with the maryland state insurance commision they will tell you what you need to know
