Presurgery visit with my surgeon

Well it is a go for Monday all bloodwork, x-rays, and ECG are good to go and now it is just a waiting game (Hate it). I have to be at GW @ 8:00 AM for my 10:45 AM surgery. He was very happy with my weight loss for surgery which in all total was 19 Lbs. and still humpin. I just know i am going to love this sleeve. Anyway to all my OH peeps thanks for the encouragement I needed it, it has been a long 2 1/2 years from fighting to get the sleeve in the first place and denied 3 times over a 4 month period, then the lapband (Hated It) then to removal, then waiting for the scar tissue to disapate I am extremely happy to get this done , a little nervous but happy. Love you guy's.

Hi Laura,
I will be taking my laptop to the hospital with me so I will chime in from GW a little while after my surgery probably when the groginess goes away and thanks for everybody's concern.

Hi Dusty,
It sounds as if we are having surgery the same day. I am due at 6:00 am for an 8:00 am surgery from RNY to DS. I hope all goes well for you. You are in my prayers.

Actually, after I sent my reply, I felt so stupid! I noticed you were having your surgery on the 19th. I'm not scheduled until the 26th. I think I'm trying to pu**** forward. Actually, I'm waiting on a call from my PCP. She left a message that my vitamin D was extremely low. I certainly hope this doesn't mean I cannot go through with it. Good luck on Monday and you will be well on your way!

LOL yeah when you get older your body doesn't absorb Vitamin D as well so it gets low. Mine was when i first had surgery but it didn't hold me back they just gave me a prescription of it. I now take 1000 units a day and I get it from the vitamin shoppe. That ok you will be on the loser's bench soon enough i can't wait just getting a little nervous now.

Thanks, Dusty, for the support. I did hear from my doc and she confirms it is no big deal. I can just take the D supplements. So I guess unless something unforeseen happens in my family, the surgery is a go.
