Introducing myself

Thank you all for the warm welcome, the encouragement, and sharing your experiences.  I'm pleased that folks are happy with Dr. Singh. At this point I want to get through the surgery without any problems.  I'm pretty low maintenance (well, some might disagree ) so I'll be alright with the hospital -- low toilets and all LOL!!!  I'll stay in touch on the MD forum.

Hey, you laugh now but you'll see what I mean when you get there! haha.

My surgeon is Dr. Averbach. It looks like I'll be scheduled the second week of August.

I love OH; folks really care. As you can tell you will get the real skinny on information that you request. The info on St. Agnes nurses is news to me. I'm glad I know because now I know what to expect.

Thanks Laura.  So you're about two months on the other side ... how's it going?

It's going great! I'm down about 50 and I feel great. I can do so much more than I could before and I am very happy with my decision to have the surgery.  Good luck!

Welcome Mike, I'm about 2 yrs out and have leveled off plus maybe 10 extra lbs.  For me its the heart, lung thing not the gotcha in the mirror. thing.  I want a 36" waist, medium/large shirts and I'm fine.
