OK -- vent over ... please continue on with the rest of your day.
It does suck right now - been there, done that - but it's all part of the bigger picture. This is just part of the deal. Honestly, all of the pre-op tests were actually more stressful and aggrivating than the surgery and recovery... at least in my opinion. I didn't have to go through #s 5 or 8 on your list... but I did have to get an arterial blood gas test done. That was quite possibly the most painful thing I had to do in my big list of pre-op tests... and probably more painful that recovering from surgery. In hindsight, if that was the most painful thing...surgery was easy compared to that! LOL. Hang in there - you can do this! It's totally worth it!! I had my two year surgiversary in March and I'm maintaining my 117 lb. loss. Wouldn't change it for the world.
I know your feeling, by the way...my pcp demanded that I have a stress test before surgery and I was SO MAD! I was so afraid something was going to come out of it that would prevent me from having the surgery. In retrospect, I guess that was kind of dumb, as if they *had* found something serious, it would be better to deal with it prior to surgery than to die or something! I know these tests are hard, but they are to ensure your overall health and success.
Before you know it, you will be on the loser's bench and starting this new life! It's all good, I promise! :D
How was your sleep study? I hated that. That nasty play dough they stick in your hair was awful...I felt so dirty and couldnt wait to take a shower. THANK GOD Dr. A didnt make me have another one. I still have to make it thru the 3 hour NUT class next week before submitting to insurance. I had my Vitamin class this past Tuesday.
Did you get your date yet?
The sleep study was ok ... the lady woke me up twice cause I rolled over on the wires and disconnected them. She applied the CPAP so I'm sure I've got sleep apnea. The dough was a mess!
If you have the NUT class with the new NUT you will love it. She is absolutely awesome.
They were waiting on the psych report as of yesterday. I think they submit for approval tomorrow -- keep your fingers crossed! :-)
