Happy 4th of July!!! The weekend is upon us already. Time to plan for your weekend eating.  What's everyone's eating plans?  I'm having a cookout for my daughter and her boyfriend tomorrow.  I am 2plus years out and haven't had a burger since surgery so they won't be on my menu.  I'm thinking....
Grilled Salmon or steak
Tomatoes/Cucumber Salad
Corn on the cob (goes right thru me but I can not say no)
Watermelon

your turn...
Have a great weekend...

The guidelines used to be posted on Bayview's website, you may want to look there.

How long ago did you lose them? What have you been doing since you don't know what you're allowed to eat?  Call the doctor or go online and find yourself a new copy.

Hi Karen,

We don't have much of a menu planned yet but I'm sure we will be grilling some kind of meat.  I am thinking:

Cucumbers and vinegar
Corn on the Cob
Watermelon
I think I may try to find a low carb recipe and make some homemade ice cream.

Hope you have a great 4th!

I am making BBQ with a low sugar BBQ sauce.  Corn on the cob and of course, watermelon!

I'm really lucky to be attending a BBQ where the chef from our favorite local restaurant happens to be doing all the cooking.  It will be protein intense as he smokes pork tenderloin for two days, steams shrimp as big as your hand, grills chicken...oh, I'm getting hungry for lunch just thinking about it.

Happy 4th Everyone!

I have not yet found a "q" to crash, but when I do I'm taking my Hebrew National 98% fat free dogs and maybe a three bean salad. There is usally a green salad at the bbq and I go for that (I am not big on dressing, just a little salt and pepper and maybe some oil and vinegar).

Mmmmmm...watermelon. I hope I stumble upon some of that too although these days I've taken to liking it with either coarse sea salt or balsamic vinegar, neither of which is likely to show up on the bbq tables of my family.

Have a great day all!
