2nd Attempt
Hi everyone.
My name is Barb and this is my 2nd attempt at surgery.
My insurance requires 6 classes (2 group, 4 individual) and the first time, I went to 5 classes and decided that I just wasn't ready.
So in March 2010, I knew I was ready. Have attended 4 of the 6 classes and now what I want this time.
I used to attend the support group in Crofton, where I met a wonderful group of people. Does that group still meet?
Are there any groups in the Glen Burnie or Pasadena area?
Here's to hoping that I can be a loser in the near future!

Welcome Barb,
Can't wait to see you on the loser bench. Congratulation on your decision on to have WLS. Who is your doctor and where are you going to have surgery?
I live in Pasadena and I go to the support group that is sponsored by St. Agnes Hospital. The meet on the first Monday of the month, 6pm-7pm. This support group is geared towards those that had RNY or the sleeve. They also have a support group meeting on the third Monday of the month, 6pm-7pm for those who had the lap-band surgery. You can go either.
My husband, who also had the RNY done 11/08, and I go the meeting that meets the first Monday.
If you have any question, just ask. Everybody here is nice and willing to help in anyway they can.
