Dr. Schweitzer's Secretary - any opinions?

Has anyone had any trouble with Dr. Schweitzer's secretary, "Tracey".  I am finding her to be completely disfunctional.  I feel as though it is going to take me YEARS to get this surgery because she doesn't seem to do anything unless I call her constantly.

Any of you have any experiences?  My family doctor is so frustrated with this girl that she wants me to change surgeons.

I found the entire process with his office staff very frustrating.  My guess is they don't really need good customer service since they have Dr. Schweitzers expertise.  They never ever came thru for me.

I tried to get an appt with him about 3 months back to talk about VSG, but since I had already had LB and had it removed by another surgeon she wouldnt make an appt without talking to him first.  Ive never heard back from her. 

I am anticipating having LB in August. Tell me why you had yours removed, please???

I feel alot of the office staff there is pretty slow with getting back to you on things. They messed up my short term leave paper work and then i couldnt get through on the phone. My work was calling me about getting it turned in and they just kept telling me Dr Schweitzer hadnt gotten to it yet. Then when it got sent back it was missing pages so i ended up driving up to Bayview and getting Tracey called down to the lobby to get it all taken care of right then and there. Now I am going through gallbladder issues and shes actually called me to schedule an appt with him last week. Today i am waiting on another call from her again which I hope I get. You do have to keep pushing them and calling them to get the answers you want when you need them. Once you have a date then you dont need to deal with them until afterwards if you have any work papers you need filled out. Good luck!

Dr S is an excellent surgeon, his office staff leaves a LOT to be desired. If you are not getting the desired results, please start cc'ing Christine Walsh on your emails or calling her.  She will get results for you.
