a couple of vents and a hello

Been gone too long, or at least seems that way. This pregnancy is sucking the life out of me, literally. I am missing a lunch date with Nessa and Angie right now because of uneasiness under my ribs. I am scared of heading out because when it gets bad, I can't walk straight or talk or do anything but lie down on my side and sob. Wouldn't that be a nice picture outside the restaurant? And, when a pain episode is over, it wipes me out for hours. So, additionally, I am also feeling useless around the house since I can't get anything done.

Also not gaining weight. Which would be awesome if I wasn't pregnant. I'd like to gain some weight. The baby seems to be growing fine so I'll try not to worry. But, I know I don't get anything beyond 800-1000 calories in a day and sometimes those don't even stay down. Maybe it's time for a visit with my surgeon.

Finally, a hello to all old and new members on this board. I am usually more upbeat than this. I promise.

I'm sorry you're having a rough time. Is your OB a high-risk OB? I only ask that because MOST people I know who have had babies post-op see high-risk OB's.

I'd say a call to your surgeon would be smart.

My OB isn't a high risk OB herself but the group she's in has a high risk OB. They consult each other, especially since I get whoever's on call the day I go into labor.
