Transer to someone in Southern MD? Need advice on Dr's down here!

Hey ya'll!

I just graduated college and am back in the area. I need to transfer to a bariatric center down here for follow-up and was wondering if I could get some recommendations from some of you in the Southern Maryland area.

There are none in our area. Closest docs are in WDC or Baltimore. Where do you live?

Yep...unfortunately we dont have anything. Mileage wise, DC would be closest...Im checking out two in Baltimore, Drs. Klingman and Averbach.

I started a list...I'll post that so you can get an Idea of who we have to choose from...its not a ful list though. You can always click the Find A Surgeon button at the top of the Maryland forum too.

I'm in extreme Southern Maryland (about as far down south in Maryland as you can possibly get!), and I travel up to Baltimore (2.5 hours away) to my bariatric surgeon.

I do not know of a Bariatric Center of Excellence in the near area.

Washington DC, Baltimore, Glen Burnie, Rockville, and northern Virginia are your best bets.

Correction. I believe there might be a satellite office for Univ of Md. patients somewhere in Upper Marlboro/Penn. Avenue area.

Hmm..I basically just need someone to order labs drawn. I will just see if I can find a knowledgeable pcp that's willing to draw all the labs I need.

Hi,
I live in Waldorf and I go to GW to Dr. Brody he is great. I do the metro most of the time when I have to go and since I am up for a revision to sleeve soon i actually enjoy going up there.
