I am waiting for a call from dr kilgmans office to set a date for my sugery and for some unknown reason my scale has become a bit friendly.  Meaning that i am loosing weight instead if yo yo ing, go figure...... I have recently been to gp and every thing is fine bp under control, sugar in check.  Is this too good to be true?  I just don't want to drop so much that I won't qualify for the sugery.  Any one else experince this?  Or could it be that my activity level has increased such riding my bike and walking almost daily?

From my experience...I was told that whatever the first weight (at your first weigh in) is the number that is used. So say your bmi was 42 and you lost some before your last appt before surgery, and your bmi is 38...the bmi of 42 is still your starting weight.

I asked cause I was planning on losing some before surgery (I didnt need to do the pre op diet) but somehow I ended up gaining 10lbs caus I had last supper syndrome!

I'll be meeting Dr Klingman on tuesday at the info session. How long did it take to get your date? was it really far out there?
