Schedule mix-up for initial consultation ...
... so I take the day off and drive to Baltimore in 90+ degree heat. Find a friggin parking spot; walk several blocks. Get to the office, sign in, and they tell me that my appt is on the 16th ... count ... count ... breath ... breath ... WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I'm a busy professional ... I'm trying not to let this sour me on this practice ... but if you can't get this right ... then ...

OMG! I would have been peeling my face off!!
Did they make you go to the seminar first? They set me up (I think her name was Nadia) for the seminar. She said I had to attend even if I was seeking a revision. Oh well...It will be nice to check the place out.
Im going on Tuesday night. Was it terribly horrible to find the place? I checked the O's schedule and there is a game that night too (vs the Yankees) so that should be fun. I was thinking of just valet parking so I dont have to worry about finding a spot.

Just FYI, he has an office in Shipley's Choice (Millerville, MD) that might be much more convenient for you both. Just make sure to make your appointments there (if you can). I think there are a lot of changes going on in Dr. K's office right now with staff (Nadia is leaving the practice). He is worth any kind of admin hassle you may have to go through as a result of some of these changes. Just my opinion, for what it's worth. Hang in there...you may experience issues with any surgeon's office.
Best of luck - sorry for your inconvenience!

I had a bad experience when I tried to schedule an appointment with Dr. Kligman. The secretary who scheduled the appointment had a bad attitude. I was thinking of going somewhere else, but then I met Dr. Kligman. He was straightforward, answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable. He explained my options and the type of results I could expect. The rest of the staff was nice as well. I was on the fence trying to decide between the sleeve and rny, but after discussing the matter with the nurse and then Dr. Kligman, I decided rny was my best option.
Take the time to meet with Dr. K before you decide on the practice. Remember the secretary who scheduled you will not be performing the surgery.
