Sugar Free?!?!? The debate....
Strange as it sounds I have been having a very hard time getting my calories in with this regimen. I just dont want to eat and when I do it's not much at all. My night time cravings to eat when I get home from work are very low and several times a day when I eat I just eat to eat or else I would be in starvation mode. AFter going on about 10 days I am pretty amazed at the way carbs control our bodies...esp sugars. I'm doing fine with SF subs but the lower I go in carbs the less I want to eat. THe only difference because I have band is they encourage us to eat real fat...good fats. Nothing light or processed. i even noticed the glucose change in my body when I ate greek yogurt which I find to be crazy! When I eat eggs and meat and greens there are no cravings at all. I got on the scale this am and am so so close to breaking 250.
This however requires alot of thought and preparation. I have a long way to go so I guess this is my current path.
As I get closer to goal I may not be as strict about the carbs down to 50 grams and I am sure there will be times I go off the plan like for party or something. It's so difficult to just not live life sometimes so I am going to try to put it in perspective. But this time I will make a serious note of how increasing carbs changes my body chemistry. I have to - otherwise band or it will be too easy to put weight back on. I could eat ice cream all day everyday and be right back up to 330...not going there!
