Surgery went well...I'm doing great!

Heres what I ate at that stage......
  yogurt
  cottage cheese
  pudding
  cream of wheat
  cocoa wheats {{ cream of wheat but chocolate flavored}}
  broths
  baked ricotta
  mashed taters

And you can put the protein in almost anything cold.....the only kind I could tolerate {{{which protein varies person to person}}} was the unjury {{ unflavored, vanilla,chocolate, or chicken broth}} and the WalMart brand, Body Fortress {{chocolate}}. Dont max it out with protein right now, you are still eating VERY small amounts, so dont use a full serving of protein in what youre mixing it with. Take it slow, it will get better! And yes, warm is good.....that was the best for me!

I'm so glad to hear that things went so great for you!!!! You have a great attitude about everything. I just KNOW that you are gonna rock that pouch! Everything you're experiencing sounds totally normal. I remember that while I had no desire to eat, I was glued to Food Network, which I referred to as my food porn. I wouldn't worry too much about food at this point. Just be sure to keep sipping. It will all fall into place.

Congrats on your successful surgery, Laura!  Glad to see everything is going well for you.  Don't worry about the weight gain, I did the same - swelling and water retention.  I also wasn't hungry and had to remind myself to eat.  So yeah, that's not unusual!

You're doing GREAT!  Keep it up and you'll start seeing your weight loss soon!

Welcome home Laura!

Walking will keep you sane and you are so right ... the more you walk ... the better you feel.

So, well, did you think about me as you were waiting for your leak test and enjoying that delicious white chalky ****tail?  What a delight, huh?

Happy healing!

I DID think of you and I smiled! BUT...get this...mine was clear. It still tasted like poison and it had the consistency of milk, but it was clear. Someone else's was white but they had a bypass 4 years ago and she was no longer able to keep food down. Anyway...yeah...I thought of you. :)))
