Any DSers out there?

If you have had DS in Maryland  >>> Do you know anything about John Hopkins Bayview?  Tell me everything!

I had my DS at Bayview with Dr. Schweitzer.   I 'm not sure what exactly you are looking for but, I found the staff to be good and I had a great experience.  Let me know if you want to know anything specific.

Just as an FYI - Dr. Schweitzer at Bayview is no longer doing the DS as a single surgery.  He now does the VSG first.

I think I read somewhere that there is another doctor at Bayview doing the DS now.  I'm not sure who it was or where I read it though.

Traci, I've heard that as well, but not sure how many DS's they have done so I'd personally check around on the DS board for a vote of confidence in this new DS surgeon. lol

I had my VSG surgery with Schweitzer at Bayview and had a good experience.

Like the others have said, Schweitzer no longer does the DS in one stage and I do believe there is another surgeon there that is now doing the DS in one stage. Not sure how many this surgeon has done or what the 'word' on the street is - I would strongly suggest you post on the DS board. They have TONS of information for ya.
