Yep, I was a sushi wergin!  But I don't get it - people talk about how high in protein it is, but all that rice!!!  It's got to be high in carbs, too, yes?  Unless, of course, they're talking about sashimi.  Not really sure I'm ready for that yet!!!!!  LOL

It's most definitely an acquired taste and not for everyone!

i keep reading these to get an idea of everyones eating habits after WLS... sometimes i think that sounds like a lot of food, im one of those and i will admit it food addicted women who only eat 2 times a day and think im not eating much at all :o( well that was until the diet program wich sucks in my words because i feel fatter then before!

Anyways i find these fantastic and i love being able to see what i can eat after surgery! just 1 question?

What is Greek yogurt ???

Hi there!!  Take heart - after wls, you WILL be able to eat.  The difference is - the quantity will be MUCH less, and hopefully, you'll make much better choices.  You'll even be able to eat in restaurants - again, though, you'll make good choices and focus on protein first and foremost.

Greek yogurt is gaining popularity - it's strained, and the way it's processed yields a yogurt that is thicker in consistency and higher in protein.  Eaten plain, Greek yogurt tastes and can be used like sour cream.  Most of us sweeten the plain with Splenda and add fruit, s/f preserves and/or low carb granola.

There are a lot of brands now of Greek yogurt - my personal fave is Fage, and I get the 0% fat, although there is 2% fat also.  Some of the other brands now make Greek yogurt already mixed with fruit, but those types are higher in sugar/carbs, something you'll need to watch after wls.

Anything you need, any questions you have, just ask!

Hugs,

Tia
