Good morning!!!  I escaped Monday fairly unscathed, but the boss is back from vacay today, so who knows about the rest of the week!!  I'm ready for some SUN!!!!!  Tired of it being a wet ride to work!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  Dad got a good report at his PCP yesterday - vitals were nearly perfect and he doesn't need to go back for 3-4 months!!!  He continues to feel good, although today is dialysis day, which is a REALLY long day for him.

2.  Trivia last night was fun, although we didn't do well.  No matter what you do, it's always more fun with friends!

3.  There were no thunderstorms last night, and thus, no galloping, scared puppy trying to find a place to burrow.  Poor thing!  NOTHING comforts her when it's bad outside!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning T!  Glad you had fun last night and so glad your dad seems to be on the mend.

Today I'm greatful for:

1.  TYLENOL and benedryl - only way me and my poor allergic dog could get to sleep last night.  Poor Sadie managed to find the pepper grass in the yard again and wow - she was all swollen in the muzzle.  At least it's happened before and I knew how to treat.  But she looked so pathetic.

2.  Colorado is a mere month away.  I'm debating taking an extra day off work the day before we leave to get stuff done...I hate having to rush.

3.  Exercise!  Helped loosen my hip up this morning, and its getting me ready for my big SIX MILE WALK this weekend...OMG what did I sign up for??? LOL...I'm going to be dragging Bob behind me in a little red wagon...I can just see it now...I told him if he bails on me I'm wearing the bike helmet to lunch and licking the windows at Woody's.

S-I-X MILES!!!  You go, girl!!!  Seriously.  YOU go.  Have fun without me!!!  LOL  I'm in awe!!

Glad the hip's somewhat better!

Good morning Tia!
All is well here, life has been treating us fairly well. I am down to 160, and I am trying to maintain, which is hard. In the last 2 weeks I have lost 3 pounds, and wasnt trying to. I have up'ed my calories and that kind of scares me.....excess calories is what made me fat to begin with! Any suggestions on maintaining would be much appreciated.

Today I am grateful for:
1} that all my friends & family who have been struggling with health issues and other issues, are starting to see the light again. God is good.

2} that today is the long awaited game day! Tonight I am meeting Kathy & Darla at Camden Yards for the Yankees/Orioles game! I am sooooo excited! LETS GO YANKEES!!!!!!!!!!!

3} for cough syrup with codeine! Lizzie has mono but has a HORRIBLE congested cough on top of it & I am so tired of hearing the kid sound like she is coughing up a lung!

Have a good day everyone!

Morning Hojo!!

I know the girls are as excited about tonight's game as you!!  Have a great time!!

I'm sure someone who has had to struggle to maintain will be able to give you better advice; the only thing I can say is that although you've upped your calories, I'm SURE that as opposed to pre-op, your extra calories aren't coming from junk food!!!  Check with your surgeon/nutritionist, see what types of food they suggest to healthily increase your calories.

Ugh, poor Lizzie!!!  Mono can wreak havoc, so make sure you keep her hydrated!

Hugs,

T

Wow it's been awhile since I have posted to this thread!

Today I am grateful for...

1. My Gall Bladder is finally coming out Friday and I hope to get a few days of MUCH needed relaxation and sleep!!!

2. That almost all my housework and cleaning and laundry is done before surgery (mind you i had 12..countem 12 loads of laundry I did on Friday at the laundromat...60 bucks later every sheet, towel, comforter, panty etc etc squeeky clean!)

3. That I am finally getting new steps on the front of my house - after a bad winter that wrecked them even more...bye bye flagstone and broken up bricks - HELLO CONCRETE!  No more pulling up to my house and it looking like I am going into the Adam's family joint!

Hi Nikki!

I know you'll be SO glad to get rid of that nasty thing!!!  You're lucky - when I had mine out in 1990, it was open and about the most painful thing from which I've ever recovered!!!!  Here's to an uneventful surgery and swift recovery for you!

12 loads of laundry - whew!!!!!  It's a nice feeling of accomplishment, though, isn't it?

LOL @ the Addams Family!!!

Good luck on Friday!

Hugs,

Tia
