ok so here it goes

i had my first consult with dr steele,at bayview on jan 11 2010, my neice erica works with her.SO i rushed to get everything done,so the final papers went into insurance on 3/31 i was approved on 4/13 so, im not gonna lie i do call erica alot and im sure im drivin her nuts BUT im just tryin to get my surgery date,and hope i can have surgery before dr steele goes on maturnity leave .if not i really dont mind who does my surgery i just want to get it.i get so mad at myself after i call erica .but this damn wait is killing me lol.good thing my  approval is good for 2 years  lol.also im just wondering did everyone have to go on a 2 week liquid diet? im thinking about putting myself on one.DRsteele wanted me to lose 10 lbs,but i have only lost six.if i dont lose 10 will she still operate? thank you all for reading this and letting me vent .but i just cant wait   :)  congrats everyone who had surgery,and congrats to everyone else waiting and trying and just starting to live   i know i cant wait

Good luck on everything! I didn't have to do the 2 week liquid diet and wasn't required to lose weight before surgery either but a lot of poeple on here did both.

I had to do six months of supervised weightloss, but no two week liquid diet.  In fact, I could eat regularly up until the morning of my surger - but did chose to do clear liquids the day before so I wouldn't have to potty with a swollen belly.

I had to do liquids the week before. It was beneficial for me, I could not imagine having to go to the bathroom, after that. It was much easier with ust liquids in there. I am only 5 days post op, and tell you the truth, I did not even have a second approval. I just truned everything in, it went through, and then they asked my when I wanted to have my sugery. I also was not required to loose weight before the surgery, the liquid diet was for the lapriscopic purposes only. Had something to do with shrinking the liver. But with that said, I lost 14p while on the week of the liquid diet. I wish you luck~~ and you know that everything happens for a reason, so if your time is being held up there are reasons for it!! Congrats on your new journey!!
