Okay Laura .... do tell me what you had as your last meal!  I'm dying to know.

My surgeon, Dr. A, did not require a liquid pre-op diet; however, I was allowed nothing to eat or drink after 8 p.m. the night before my surgery.  Knowing that I was going to be out of the office for a week or so, I ended up working late the night before my surgery to get things caught up.  I got home at around 7:45 that night and did not have time to have my last meal, although I dreamed about having it for several weeks.  With the clock ticking down, I grabbed a Lean Cuisine from the freezer and popped it in the microwave for 5 minutes.  My last meal was a turkey something Lean Cuisine -- not at all like I had planned.  Should have stopped at Wendy's on the way home and got me a triple with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles and mayo, large fries and a frosty!

Oh you don't want to know...it was a bender. Ok, I'll tell you but I was bad.

I went to the grocery store and bought a french baguette, some Boursin cheese (I love this stuff), some cream of crab soup, a pack of double-stuff Oreos (yeah, double-stuff, you read the right), some whole milk, a Pepsi, 6 boxes of progresso chicken broth, two gallons of skim milk, 2 boxes of crystal light, and 2 boxes of sugar-free popsicles. As you can tell, the broth, the skim milk, the crystal light and the popsicles are for the liquid diet. The rest was for my "incident" as I'm calling it now. It lasted all day...not that this fact makes it any less of an incident.

I ate about half of the bread, ALL of the cheese, a lot of the oreos (ughhhh, I feel sick but they were good) and drank the whole milk for the most part. Though, to be honest, I'm so used to skim, it was weird to drink whole and I don't know that I would ever want to switch off of the skim. And I didnt really drink the Pepsi because I didn't like it. I should have gotten diet soda. I really just wanted one last soda, but oh well. Also I had 2 hot wings and a slider. I didn't eat the soup. I'm just worn out! Ive been crazy busy and I'm so sick of eating like crap that I'm actually looking forward to day 1 of the liquid. I'll be eating my words come Sunday won't I? haha

Glad I went for the Oreos though.  Ok that's it. Don't judge me. lol!!! ;)

Thank you! You too! You know, a liquid diet isn't a bad idea for you to lose the extra weight. Even if you only did it for a week. It's just protein shakes, and non-caloric drinks (sugar free popsicles, crystal light)...no soda, no juice, no food. You can have 4 shakes a day...I bought the pre-made and some I have to try myself, so that I can have a sampling and find what I like. If you want me to email you more info, just PM me and I will tell you more about my diet.

Oh and the health tracker is provided by OH. It should be on your options in your profile....do you see it?

Before surgery, my answer would have been different. I actually don't remember my last meal. I didn't have a liquid diet so I must have eaten normal food the night before surgery. The last meal I do remember is the June before my surgery, P.F. Chang's for my 30th birthday. I remember it becuase it was the unhappiest birthday in my life ever.

Now, after surgery, I don't miss anything because I can eat everything. In moderation but everything. A small slice of cake, a really small scoop of ice cream, lasagna, a couple squares of chocolate, fruit, half of a small shake, name anything and I can and probably have eaten it post surgery.

The only things that I can't tolerate at this point is sugar and hamburgers...so I'd have to go with a big, fat bacon cheeseburger, tiramisu, a Krispy Kreme donut, and a chocolate milkshake.

I saw a woman in Royal Farm buying Krispy Kreme donuts and I swear for a second I thought about taking her out and stealing her donuts. LOL My fat girl mentality actually thought about risking the inevitable dumping for just 1 donut, but it's really not worth the 30-45 minutes of praying to be be put out of my misery and promising God I'll never eat whatever shiz got me there. :)
